Dr. Thanassi Athanassopoulos
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Thanassi Athanassopoulos is an expert in cosmetic facial and breast surgery, and in particular, complex secondary revision surgery. He studied medicine at Oxford University and King's College Hospital London, qualifying with distinction.
With 25 years of experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for the NHS, he served as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Aberdeen University Medical School and worked at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital performing reconstructive procedures in young children.
He attained the highest research degree Oxford University offers (DM, Doctor of Medicine) after 3 years at the Stem Cell Research Laboratory at the John Radcliffe Hospital. In recognition of his research, he received the coveted research fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Young Scientist Award of the British Blood Transfusion Society.
